At Stepping Stones we have a rolling enrollment process. Although many children do start on the traditional early-September schedule, we also welcome new families throughout the year. If you are flexible about your child's starting date, please indicate this on the registration form. Our only requirement is that children must be at least 2 years old on their starting date.

Our rolling enrollment process acknowledges the reality that the most significant influences in a family's need for preschool (a child's readiness for preschool, a parent's decision to start or stop working full time, or the arrival of a new sibling) do not occur on a strict academic calendar.

After mailing in the registration form and application fee, the preschool will contact you a few months prior to your desired start date to inform you of the enrollment. Our enrollment policy is a first come first serve basis (siblings do have priority). Depending on the wait list your child may start at the time you desire or you may have to wait a few months before a space is available.

To download a registration form, please click here. Please note: an application for enrollment will not be considered until a school tour has been completed. Upon acceptance, your first month and last month's tuition will be due, as well as a materials fee.

*We accept children who require diapers, & will help them master the use of the toilet when they show readiness.

tours

Tours are given in the morning on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 9:30am. Please contact the school at 415.665.4189 to schedule a tour.

waitlist

The waitlist for Stepping Stones is up to one year. To increase your chance of admission, please be sure to apply one year in advance of when you'd like your child to attend. Admission is based on a first come, first serve basis.
